Ochsner also plans to participate in our Level II/Level III pilot program. Their participation will be extremely valuable to us. Dr. Chimento graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1990, going on to complete his internship and residency at Tulane University Medical Center. Following residency, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force at Barksdale Air Force Base. Upon completion of his Air Force commitment, Dr. Chimento became a fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He spent 5 years in private practice in the New Orleans area, and joined Ochsner in 2006.
Kevin Meek, RN-BSN, BA, MHI, is the Chief Nursing Officer at OASIS Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Kevin led OASIS through a seamless and quick enrollment and data submission process. Prior to his work at OASIS, Kevin worked on ambulances as an EMT for many years, he continued his career in health care by becoming an RN. His experiences include Trauma ICU, Emergency Room, Trauma Room, and Post-Surgical units. He has been an advocate for patients and their families as a bedside RN, as well as an advocate for his staff as a Charge Nurse, Director, and now Chief Nursing Officer.
