AJRR 2017 Annual Report Just Released

Published in November 2017

Each year, we release our Annual Report in conjunction with the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX, at the Hilton Anatole. The AJRR 2017 Annual Report became available electronically and as a hard copy at our AAHKS Annual Meeting booth on Friday, November 3.

The 2017 Annual Report analyzes data on:

  • 860,080 hip and knee replacement procedures for a 101 percent increase from last year
  • 4,755 surgeons for a 50 percent increase from last year
  • 654 institutions from all 50 states for a 57 percent increase from last year
The Annual Report includes a section on overall results, as well as individual sections analyzing primary and revision hip and knee procedural data. There are sections providing information on the Registry’s yearly data audit, collaborations and quality initiative efforts, and future areas of interest. Based on feedback from a focus group made up of AJRR participants, some of the more clinical information in the report has been explained using "Actions & Insights" pullouts. Data from our state registry, the California State Registry, is also analyzed and presented.

It's thanks to you for making the AJRR the largest source of arthroplasty data in the U.S., and the 2017 Annual Report shows our progress towards the improvement of orthopaedic care. To access the AJRR 2017 Annual Report, please visit www.ajrr.net/publications-data.
