Registry Educational Session to be Held at 2018 AAOS Annual Meeting

Several surgeons including members of the AJRR Steering and Data committees will be leading educational sessions at the 2018 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. If you're attending the meeting, be sure to stop by the session, "What Can a Registry Do for Me?"
The session will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Central Time, and will be moderated by Henrik Malchau, MD. The AJRR committee members leading the session are AJRR Steering Committee Chair Kevin J. Bozic, MD, MBA, AJRR Medical Director David G. Lewallen, MD, and AJRR Data Committee Member Brian R. Hallstrom, MD. Some of the topics that will be covered in the session include identifying clinical best practices, the financial impacts of registries, implant selection, new technology, and improving patient care.
AJRR will have additional presence at the AAOS Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. In addition to the other sessions led by AJRR committee members, AJRR staff can be found in the AAOS Resource Center from March 6 to March 10. Staff members will be providing RegistryInsights™ demonstrations and answering questions about Registry participation.
Also, the AJRR In-person User Group Network (Unet) Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Central Time. The meeting is a complimentary luncheon and will be held at the Hilton New Orleans. AJRR users in attendance will get an update on the Registry’s current technology and will be able to discuss data submission challenges with other users in a similar situation. An Epic representative will be present and will be answering any questions about data submission using their Bones Module. A dial-in option is offered for those who cannot attend in person.
