The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Registry Program is transitioning to an Annual Sunset Cycle format to standardize updates to the Data Specifications. Beginning in January 2020, Data Specifications for all AAOS Registries will be published with updates to select data elements. The Registry Program reached out to sites and surgeons for feedback on data collection methods and workflow. These updates have been vetted by our surgeon leadership with the objective to improve the quality of data captured while reducing the data burden for participating sites.
The webinar will provide an overview of Data Specifications changes for 2020, including:
- Information on data elements
- Updates to Required Status definitions
- Pertinent dates for the Sunset Cycle
There will be time at the end for an open question and answer session with Registry Program staff.
